So sad to read about Jay, he was a great teacher of all things in life. I enjoyed our time together in McCarthy on the SAR mission. I only wish the world and Air Force had more like him around. All my best to the rest of the family.

Sandy and family,
I offer my most sincere condolences in this sad time. CJ was a great mentor to me, from teaching me in the military and also in the cub. I was extremely fortunate to have known and flown with him...and to have been a guest in your home. I truly hope our paths will cross again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To great storytelling
I met Jay and Sandy, Soaring over the Izrael Valley, between Nazareth and Megiddo (the biblical armageddon) - where my gliding club is. It was such joy meeting you two, and getting a glimpse of your world. I felt you opened a window to the essence of what flying is all about.
I hope to see you again!
(oh and by the way)
The story about the IDITAROD expedition is the best piece I've read in a long time.

Float Plane Instructor
Having grown up in Alaska and having flown since I was a kid, it is my qualified opinion that Jay Baldwin is the best Bush Flying and Tail-Wheel instructor in the State. I recommend that all of my float (SES) ratings clients see him so they can really learn the art of landing off-field when no water is involved. They have all been very satisfied,

At any point in time that we ever visit Alaska in the future there is no doubt that we will stay book with you. The only difference is that we will definitely stay a much longer time. Again thank you all for everything. Awesome, Andy Fortsoon

Thoroughly enjoyed your book! Considering taking the plunge by selling my Cherokee and buying a Super Cub. Bowhunter. You have inspired me. Thank you!

Hi, Next time I take the Alaska Ferry north I will consider your sight seeing tour as one possible trip highlights.
My brother always talked about getting trained as a bush pilot. He never got around to despite being an avid hiker and adventurer in the Cascades.
Thanks for your website.

Hi Jay! Nice to have you in my hangar. I'm looking forward to having you and your crew at Flabob next winter for your seminar. We see this as an opportunity to benefit both our local EAA Chapter 1, along with making it a successful venture for you. Keep in touch!

I\'m not sure how I ran across this site but I\'m glad I did. I was in 14th Squadron at the AF Academy one year behind you.
There is no doubt who I\'m going to get my bush checkout from if I ever get up there again.
Great site, keep up the good work!
